About
We combine high-quality plugins with real analog polishing while keeping the advantages of total recall. This allows us to make quick changes and revisions. Our gear-list includes tools by Tegeler Audio Manufaktur, Universal Audio, Neumann and many more.
Our focus is on Hip-Hop and Electro productions of all kinds. In addition, we realize podcasts, radio plays and other audio productions.
Among the artists we have worked with are Taby Pilgrim, Duktus T, Moodus, Gravity Shock, Access:Icarus, Tobias „Krieg und Freitag“ Vogel, Andre „Egon Forever!“ Lux and many others.
Beside the studio-work, CNQ takes care of moodus’ live vocal-sound while Plattitude supports moodus and Kaysn as Live-DJ and spins some records from time to time.
Team & History
The two team members are Plattitude and CNQ.
Plattitude (Christopher Plön) stepped in the world of music in 2000 with his first DJ-Set. One year later he joined the crossover-band PJuice, where he met CNQ (Christian Niquet) who was playing the bass. Together they played venues like the Logo, the historically and the new Knust and the Markthalle.
After being Live-DJ for a NuMetal-band, Plattitude started to play Hip-Hop, Dancehall and Hip-Hop in clubs like Astra-Stube, Fundbureau and Waagenbau and in front of the Audimax of the University of Hamburg.
In 2003 he met DJ Smith and the two started the Electro-Scratch-project Les Cracheurs. They became residents at the Pjuma Lounge at Hans-Albers-Platz near the Reeperbahn and played lots of other events. Highlights were a summer-engagement on the island of Sylt, a club opening in Lithuania and a set on the Airbeat One Open-Air-Festival.
The two also began working on their own music and received the opportunity to look into industry-standard music production, mixing and mastering in places like the Boogie Park.
Their first 12“ vinyl „Hypnotize Me“ was released in 2006 and followed by further tracks, contributions to compilations and mixtapes.
The big interest in sound-quality and focus on recording, mixing and mastering of Plattitude, CNQ and Doesh resulted in the foundation of the studio-team Waterkant Music. Work for Hip-Hop and Electro-artists and labels, for example Cobretti Records followed.
in 2016, CNQ and Plattitude began the set-up of a new studio and completed their comeback with their first mix and mastering work for Tipo van Scoop which was released in 2017. Since then, they worked on more than 30 releases which resulted in more than ten hours of music.
